Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group in Watertown, CT, seeks a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep to join its OBGYN team.

You will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, handle registrations, verify insurance, collect copays, pre-certifications, and provide clerical support to providers and staff. This is a day shift, full-time position with benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office or billing preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology beneficial.
• Excellent keyboard skills and proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients courteously in person or by phone.
• Answers telephone calls using scripting and directs to appropriate staff.
• Processes calls and transfers patients to the correct staff member/provider promptly.
• Schedules patient appointments following department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
