Atrium Health Shelby OBGYN: Kings Rutherford is seeking a Medical Assistant for full-time coverage across the Shelby/GCMG King Rutherford OB/GYN offices. The role requires rooming patients, vitals, history taking, lab duties, and assisting clinicians with procedures.

Candidates should have a Medical Assistant program completion or equivalent military training, High School diploma, and CMA/RMA certifications per standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military clinical training per DD214 in lieu of a program.
• Certification as CMA or RMA preferred by national bodies (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, NCMA, NRMA, NAHP).

Responsabilités

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties, POCT per orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines following safety standards.
• Handles patient communications, scheduling, and referrals.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and may train teammates.
