Job summary

North Alabama OBGYN Associates is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our growing medical team. You will engage with patients warmly and professionally, entering health history into the EMR, preparing exam rooms, and supporting the provider with care delivery.

We value teamwork and accuracy in documentation, with opportunities for professional development and a strong benefits package. CCMA preferred and Bachelor’s degree encouraged where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting is required.
• Graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient health history and enter into EMR.
• Prepare exam room and ensure cleanliness for visits.
• Take vitals and perform preliminary physical tests.
• Set up diagnostic or treatment equipment as needed.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy when required.
• Complete documentation in patient records, test requests, meds and education.
• May perform Scribe duties as needed.
• Assist the provider as directed.
• Work well in a team environment.
