Job summary

North Alabama OBGYN Associates, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to join the care team. The MA will gather patient histories, prepare exam rooms, take vitals, and assist providers in a fast-paced OB-GYN setting.

The role requires EMR proficiency, 1+ year in a medical office, and strong teamwork. Certifications such as CCMA are preferred, with potential for growth within a supportive network.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting is required.
• CCMA certification is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 1+ years in a medical office is preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required.
• Prior OB/GYN experience is preferred.
• Manual blood pressure proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient health history and enter into EMR.
• Prepare exam room and ensure cleanliness.
• Take vitals and perform preliminary physical tests.
• Set up diagnostic and/or treatment equipment as needed.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Complete documentation for medical records and test requests.
• May perform scribe duties and assist provider as directed.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
