Job summary

North Alabama OBGYN Associates, a Together Women’s Health partner, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join the growing practice. You will support patient care by taking histories, entering data into the EMR, preparing exam rooms, and assisting the provider.

Ideal candidates have medical office experience, a Medical Assistant program certificate, and EMR proficiency; CCMA and OB/GYN background preferred. This role offers comprehensive benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting is required.
• Certification as CCMA preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required.
• OBGYN office experience preferred.
• Manual blood pressure proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient health history and enter into EMR accurately.
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visits.
• Perform preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals.
• Set up diagnostic/treatment equipment as needed.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Document medical records, tests, medications, and patient education accurately.
• May perform Scribe duties.
• Assist the provider as directed.
• Work well in a team environment.
