Hugh Chatham Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our OBGYN team. You will perform patient rooming, vitals, history taking, and screenings, and assist providers with procedures as ordered. Lab work and vaccine administration are part of the role.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant program completion or equivalent training, a high school diploma, and a current BLS certification. Full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent military clinical training.
• Two years of MA experience preferred in a clinical setting.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, and patient messaging.
