Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the AHNMG OB/GYN department. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday–Thursday 7:30a–5p and Friday 8a–12noon.

The role provides direct patient care in obstetrics/gynecology, under RN supervision, and requires BLS within 6 months. Ideal candidate completes an accredited Practical Nursing program, holds an active LPN license, and has strong communication and organizational skills to support patient care

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care according to policies and standards.
• Assist with data collection and plan of care as directed.
• Document interventions and patient responses accurately.
• Communicate changes in medical orders to the registered nurse.
• Perform clinical tasks such as medication administration and IV therapy.
