Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks an RN OBED to influence patient care within a collaborative hospital setting. You will complete admission interviews, document assessments, monitor changes, educate patients, provide family support, and participate in discharge planning.

Requires 1 year RN experience and ADN; BSN preferred; TX RN license; BLS, ACLS/ALS, and NRP per policy. On-site role at a premier women’s and neonatal care facility.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current State of Texas RN license or Compact license with Texas license within 90 days of hire
• BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS and NRP per policy

Responsibilities

• Complete admission interview and document patient assessment
• Identify changes in patient condition and report promptly to physician or charge nurse
• Assess and document patient education and discharge planning
• Provide psychological and social support to patient and family
• Administer and document medications accurately
• Communicate significant information to physician or CN/Coordinator
• Continuously evaluate and modify plan of care as needed
