Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Obstetrics Operating Room (OB OR) unit.

You will coordinate and provide patient care, acting as a central provider within the healthcare team to ensure the plan-of-care is carried out across disciplines. The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN experience and nursing education at the diploma/associate degree level or higher, with Texas RN licensure and required certifications.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• Graduate of accredited nursing school with Nursing Diploma, Associates Degree or higher level education.
• Current Texas RN license and/or a valid compact license in accordance with law and regulations; BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (grace periods apply).

Responsibilities

• Review patient history prior to physical assessment and incorporate findings into the exam.
• Perform physical patient assessments/reassessments on a regular basis per department standards.
• Incorporate available technology to aid in physical assessment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to formulate a plan of care with expected outcomes.
