Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide for the Obstetrics/Gynecology department at Advocate Condell Medical Center. The role includes scrubbing for obstetric procedures, assisting in deliveries, and providing direct patient care on a 36-hour work week with a night shift (7pm–7:30am) and rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualified candidates must be a currently in good standing Nurse Aide with BLS eligibility, and complete any required certifications within 6 months if not already certified.

Qualifications

• CNA program completion or equivalent
• BLS within 6 months unless exempt by leadership
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and electronic medical records

Responsibilities

• Assist with obstetrical procedures and related surgeries.
• Scrub for obstetric cases and maintain sterile field.
• Assist in delivery procedures and patient care activities.
• Serve as a training resource for staff on equipment and procedures.
• Maintain stock and readiness of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with OR staff and educators on equipment prep and emergencies.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care across the life span.
