UP Health Systems- Portage in Michigan is seeking an OB Technician to support the Labor and Delivery team under RN supervision. Qualifications

• Nurse aide training or CNA certification required at hire or within 4 months.
• Nursing/Medical Assistant program with CMA/LPN consideration may apply.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NRP, BLS credentials preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Monitor vital signs and glucose, document I&O.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility.
• Maintain confidentiality and effective handoffs to care team.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges; transport patients.
• Prepare operating room and assist in surgical procedures as needed.
