Memorial Health in Decatur, IL is seeking a Certified OB Surgical Technologist (CST) for full-time night shifts (6:00pm–6:30am). Responsibilities include scrubbing for cesarean sections, assisting with draping and instrument use, and maintaining sterile technique.

The role requires graduation from a surgical technologist program and CST certification with CPR within 6 months of graduation or start date; ongoing training and professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• This role requires completion of a Surgical Technologist program or being in the final semester.
• National CST certification and CPR must be obtained within 6 months of graduation or start date.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and handling of OB surgical instruments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and apply sterile techniques during procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation and draping for OB surgeries.
• Set up operating room and pass instruments to the surgeon.
• Report unsafe conditions and maintain instrument sterilization.
• Assist as scrub nurse, anticipating surgeon needs throughout procedures.
• Assist in equipment management and room turnover as required.
