Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking an OB Surgical Technologist (CST) to support labor and delivery procedures, including cesarean sections, during night shifts. You will work under nursing and medical staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive patient experience for mothers, newborns, and families.

This role requires CST certification, BLS, and a commitment to sterile techniques, teamwork, and patient safety in a high-acuity obstetrical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with current certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating and delivery rooms using sterile techniques.
• Prepare patients for labor and delivery procedures, including cesarean sections.
• Function as a Surgical Technologist, assisting physicians during procedures.
• Perform first or second scrub duties within the sterile field.
• Maintain, clean, and process sterile instrumentation according to hospital policy.
