Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Anchorage obstetric team is seeking an Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative, patient-centered environment. You will prepare the surgical suite, support the team during procedures, and help ensure newborns receive the highest standards of care with compassionate teamwork.

You will have access to training and mentorship, predictable scheduling with on-call support, and clear pathways for growth as you advance in obstetric surgery, delivering meaningful outcomes

Qualifications

• Must obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 7 days of start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days of start date.
• No travel required for this role.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite with instruments and supplies for obstetric procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Provide hands-on instrument and equipment support to the surgical team during obstetric cases.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform counts, and verify equipment functionality.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver patient-centered obstetric care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands‑on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient‑centered care and a seamless surgical experience

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
