Job summary

Reid Health is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Family Birthing Center on a night shift schedule. The role requires maintaining a sterile field, preparing instruments, and supporting obstetric procedures including cesarean sections under pressure in a busy setting.

Minimum 2 years OB Surgical Tech experience and a Surgical Technology program graduate is preferred; BLS required with CST a plus. Opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a reputable hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology training program or equivalent experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
• 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech in OB preferred.
• BLS certification required; CST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and assist during OB procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments and ensure availability of sterile supplies.
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and wound dressings.
• Contribute to OR turnover and infection control protocols.
• Assist with equipment setup, including anesthesia and monitoring tools.
