Job summary

Blessing Health System in Quincy, IL seeks an OB Surgical Technologist to provide technical, surgical, and patient-care support in obstetrics. This role operates within operating rooms, postpartum, labor and nursery areas, assisting with cesarean deliveries and other procedures as part of a coordinated team.

Responsibilities include preparing the surgical environment, maintaining sterile fields, anticipating surgeon needs, handling instruments, and aiding with room turnover and emergency

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technician program or two years experience in a scrub tech role.
• Have entered final semester of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified within 90 days of graduation of a Surgical Technician program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical environment and maintain sterile field.
• Assist with room turnover and emergency preparedness.
• Support obstetrics team across operating rooms, postpartum, labor and nursery areas.
• Collaborate with nurses, obstetricians, OB hospitalists and anesthesia providers to ensure safe patient care.
