Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide holistic patient care across physiological, psychological, and spiritual dimensions. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, administer treatments, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

A strong emphasis on documentation, infection control, and continuous improvement will guide daily duties.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (RN)
• BLS certification required
• Experience in acute care setting preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and reevaluate as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff and departments to optimize patient care and communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and outcomes in the medical record.
• Continuously evaluate care effectiveness and adjust plans to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed and regulatory requirements met.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond promptly to code situations and intervene as needed.
