Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program is required.
• Certification in Surgical Technology is required.
• Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• 2+ years of Surgical Technologist experience is REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures in accordance with standards.
• Participates in on-call rotation based on department needs.
• Operates sterilizer and other patient care equipment after proper training.
• Promotes hospital processes and communicates issues to the chain of command.
• Assists with updating surgeon preference cards and with supply/inventory tasks.
• Contributes to quality improvement and personal skill development.
• Works with team to deliver high-quality patient care.
