Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center seeks an Obstetrics Operating Room Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations, staffing, and nursing care quality.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and patient experience in a high-volume OB setting. The role requires a BSN, active RN license, and leadership experience, with certifications and OB-specific credentials encouraged.

Qualifications

• BSN required; specialty certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current license as RN, with TX license or compact license as applicable.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred; L&D: NRP preferred; FHM preferred; RNC-OB preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily unit/department operations and staffing.
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with policies.
• Promote evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and outcomes.
• Drive efficiency, accountability, and cost-effectiveness while maintaining care standards.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and staff development to meet patient needs.
• Lead initiatives to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and regulatory compliance is up to date.
