Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an RN in the Obstetrics Emergency Department (OBED) to coordinate and provide patient care, perform initial assessments, and develop individualized care plans for patients and families.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN clinical experience, an ADN, with BSN preferred, and active Texas RN license with BLS, ACLS/ALS, NRP; RNC-OB is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• ADN from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide patient care in OBED.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop individualized care plans and discharge plans.
• Provide patient/family education and support.
• Administer medications and document accurately.
• Communicate changes to physicians and leadership.
• Evaluate and adjust the care plan as needed.
