Job summary
Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit. This full-time role covers night shifts (7p-7a) with every other weekend and rotating holidays; a call requirement and travel within the facility may be necessary.
Ideal candidates have 2+ years of Labor & Delivery/Nursery Level II experience, hold an Illinois RN license, and possess CPR certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required within six months depending on unit needs.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
- Communicates effectively and guides nursing personnel.
- Current Illinois Nursing licensure.
- CPR certification required (AHA).
- ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required within six months depending on unit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
- Maintains competency reflecting current standards of practice.
- Interacts with peers to support professional development.
- Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice.
- Incorporates evidence-based findings into nursing care.
- Promotes safety to prevent injuries to patients and staff.
- Guides and supervises staff in patient care.
