Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Meridian, ID invites applications for Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty (OB). This full-time role focuses on developing and delivering clinical instruction, integrating current teaching methods and technologies to support pre-licensure nursing students.

The position requires an MSN, at least 2 years in OBGYN/Women’s Health, and an active RN license in Idaho or a compact state. Collegiate teaching experience is preferred, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in OBGYN, Women’s Health, Labor and Delivery nursing.
• An active and unencumbered Registered Nurse in the state of ID or compact state.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students and preceptors.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in the context of the clinical and lab application of knowledge and skills related to pre-licensure Nursing.
• Collaborates with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
• Participates in grading written and clinical/lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains compliance with requirements for program accreditation.
• Requires travel to student clinical sites to directly observe student performance.
