Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a part-time OB Technician to support Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) services. You will perform patient care and clerical duties under the supervision of an RN, assisting physicians, families, and staff.

Duties include processing birth certificates and Declarations of Paternity, and coordinating care with the LDRP team. A high school diploma is required; BLS within 30 days is mandatory; completion of a Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant/EMT or

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 30 days.
• Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• The OB Technician performs patient care and clerical duties under RN supervision.
• Assists with newborn care and interacts with physicians, patients, families, staff and community agencies.
• Responsible for completion and processing of birth certificates and Declaration of Paternity forms.
