Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Review medical records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and adjust transducers for quality images.
• Identify, record, and adapt procedures based on findings.
• Label images with patient name and MRU; ensure correct positioning.
• Enter study data into RIS and codes for billing.
• Monitor equipment performance and evaluate new products.
• Interpret sonograms and communicate findings to physicians.
• Serve as resource and preceptor to staff and students.
• Participate in quality improvement and accreditation efforts.
• Provide age-appropriate care knowledge across patient ages.
