Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of fetal abnormalities and their diagnosis.
• Proficient in performing scans of various anatomical areas and identifying cross sectional anatomy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (e.g. email, electronic medical records).

Responsibilities

• Performs obstetric and pelvic ultrasound procedures and related prenatal tasks.
• Selects transducer and adjusts technical factors for accurate imaging.
• Reviews medical records and communicates with patients for history data.
• Calibrates and maintains ultrasound equipment; notifies appropriate teams of issues.
• Maintains records of examinations and documents billing codes for charges.
• Assists in clinical instruction of students and residents.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties; follows safety protocols.
• Provides age-appropriate care and adheres to department policies.
