Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound procedures for the OBGYN department. The role requires independent image generation, documentation, and coordination with physicians to support diagnostic care.

The candidate must have a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer license, with OBGYN experience preferred and possible certification requirements for specialized imaging. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer license required.
• OBGYN experience preferred.
• Nuchal Translucency and Nasal Bone Imaging certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound diagnostic procedures as requested by the physician.
• Produces a variety of procedures that require independent judgment and initiative to create images for ultrasound diagnosis.
• Documents tests results and maintains hard copy images.
• Handles preventive maintenance on ultrasound equipment at designated intervals as described in the equipment manuals.
• Inspects equipment daily and documents needed repairs.
• Maintains patient records as directed by hospital policy and procedure.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory and orders supplies.
