Job summary

Scripps Coastal Medical Center Oceanside is looking for a Patient Service Representative to join the OB/GYN department. You will be the first point of contact, handling patient registration, appointments, and payments to create a positive patient experience.

Work is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM at the Oceanside location, with a comprehensive benefits package supporting health, retirement, and career development. Prior healthcare exposure is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate proficiency with computer applications, good mathematical skills, and ability to handle monies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities; able to identify and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with patients and providers to gather information for accurate registration and scheduling.
• Responding to billing and payment inquiries.
• Managing check-in and check-out processes, including ID verification and demographic/insurance verification.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments, and entering insurance details.
