Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice of the practice. You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and assist with billing while ensuring a smooth registration and scheduling experience.

Proficiency with EMR systems and a patient-centric approach are essential for this role. Responsibilities include confirming appointments, scanning documents into the EMR, and maintaining a welcoming lobby environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with medical offices or healthcare setting preferred; familiarity with EMR.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and verify demographics.
• Collect payment and assist with billing concerns while meeting at-service collection goals.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system and verify eligibility.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and confirm next-day appointments.
• Keep lobby tidy and monitor delays; back-up insurance verification as needed.
