Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative at our Oviedo location. The role is the first face and voice of the practice, handling patient registration, demographics, and scheduling with a focus on delivering an exceptional patient experience.

You will collect payments, verify insurance, process documents in the EMR (eCW), and set up payment plans as needed. Strong communication and organization are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• High level of computer literacy; able to learn software quickly (e.g., MS Office).
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, dynamic setting.
• Effective communication with patients, coworkers, and providers.
• Dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously.
• Collect and verify patient demographics and update profiles.
• Collect payments and assist with billing while meeting at-time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system (HIPAA compliant).
• Set up payment plans per policy.
• Answer high volumes of calls and respond to emails per standards.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and confirm upcoming visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility and registration prior to provider visit.
• Ensure check-out and follow-up appointments are properly recorded in the system.
• Keep lobby clean and presentable; assist patients with online forms when needed.
• Adhere to Women’s Care mission and HIPAA rules.
• Other duties as assigned.
