Job summary

Women’s Care in London, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical care following established standards. You will prepare patients, assist providers, and support office operations.

This full-time role requires a High School diploma or GED, MA program completion, and relevant certifications or the ability to obtain them quickly. Experience in OBGYN or primary care is a plus; CPR/BLS certification is preferred or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or served in the Armed Forces as a Medical Technician.
• CPR and/or BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience in OBGYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections.
• Ability to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.
• Proficient with a computer and EMR data entry, preferably eCW.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and patients.
• Organized, multi-task, and reliable in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional in demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment and testing.
• Restock and sterilize exam rooms, procedure rooms, and lab areas according to policy.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
• Measure, record, and document vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and injections as directed.
• Educate patients with information and instructions from the provider.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional office conduct.
• Relay messages between patients and front office staff.
• Attend required meetings and participate in team activities.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and core values.
