Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and MA certification within 120 days (if FL)
• Must graduate from nationally accredited MA program or service as Medical Technician with honorable discharge
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment, procedures, examinations and testing
• Maintain examination, procedure, lab, and patient care areas per policies
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint
• Measure and document vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy and injections when directed
• Educate patients with information and instructions from the provider
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional conduct
• Use computer and enter data in electronic medical records (eCW)
• Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Attend required meetings and contribute to team development
