Job summary

Together Women's Health, LLC in Warren, MI is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join a busy OBGYN practice. The MA will support clinicians by taking patient histories, entering data into EMR, prepping exam rooms, and assisting during procedures.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant program, EMR experience, and CCMA or a related certification; 1+ year in a medical office and familiarity with medical terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.
• EMR systems experience and medical terminology knowledge are required.
• OBGYN office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's health history and accurately enter into Electronic Medical Record
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness
• Perform any preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals
• Set up any additional diagnostic and/or treatment equipment
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed
• Complete all documentation pertaining to patient's medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness
• May perform Scribe duties
• Assist the physician as directed
• Must work well in a team environment
