Job summary

Women’s Care seeks a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support in a fast-paced OB/GYN/primary care environment. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during procedures, and help with room setup, sterilization, and specimen collection.

Responsibilities include recording patient histories, vital signs, and education as directed by clinicians. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential to maintain top-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections, if applicable.
• Ability to perform dosage calculations and measurements.
• Strong communication and professional interaction with patients and staff.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records, preferably eCW.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients during visits and assist providers during treatment, procedures, and testing.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize exam rooms, procedure rooms, and labs.
• Record patients' medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Relay messages between patients, front office staff, and providers.
• Represent the office in a professional manner and support team activities.
