Job summary

Women's Care in Safety Harbor, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical care following established standards. You will prepare patients during visits and assist providers during examinations, procedures, and testing.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, MA certification preferred, CPR/BLS credential, and experience in OB/GYN or primary care. You will perform phlebotomy, injections, vital signs, and EMR data entry while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA certification preferred or obtainable within 120 days.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Armed Forces Medical Technician with honorable discharge.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology; able to perform phlebotomy and injections.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures.
• Sterilize rooms and clinic areas per policy.
• Record medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Perform phlebotomy and injections when directed.
• Educate patients and ensure HIPAA compliance; maintain professional communication.
• Enter data into electronic medical records (eCW) accurately.
