Job summary

Women’s Care in Tampa, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical staff in a fast-paced OB/GYN and primary care setting. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist providers with procedures, and help manage rooms, supplies, and patient flow.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and CPR/BLS certification; MA certification is preferred or obtainable within 120 days in Florida. Prior OB/GYN or primary care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MA certification preferred or the ability to obtain within 120 days of employment (FL only).
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days via training.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Ability to interact and communicate professionally with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatments and testing.
• Restock, sterilize, and maintain examination and procedure rooms and lab areas.
• Record medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Assist with phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection as directed.
• Educate patients and relay information per provider instructions.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and a safe work environment.
• Represent the office professionally to patients and staff.
