Job summary

Women’s Care is hiring a Medical Assistant in Tampa, FL to provide professional clinical care and support during office visits. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during treatment and testing, and help with room preparation and sterilization in a fast-paced OB/GYN/primary care setting.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, CMA certification or eligibility within 120 days, CPR/BLS certification or plan to obtain within 30 days, and familiarity with EMR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• FL CMA certification preferred or able to obtain within 120 days.
• Graduate of accredited MA program or served as Medical Technician (honorable discharge).
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience in OBGYN or Primary Care a plus.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Proficient in EMR data entry, preferably eCW.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
• Restock and sterilize rooms and all patient care areas.
• Record medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Educate patients with information and instructions from providers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional conduct.
• Relay messages between patients, front staff, and providers.
• Attend required meetings and participate in team activities.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and core values.
