Job summary

Women's Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our clinical staff at our Clearwater office. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist physicians during visits, and manage room readiness and specimen collection in a fast-paced OB/GYN/Primary Care environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with Florida MA certification preferred or obtainable within 120 days. CPR/BLS is preferred with prior EMR experience; strong communication and organizational

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Florida MA certification preferred or obtainable within 120 days.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or served as Medical Technician in the Armed Forces.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Strong medical terminology and dosage calculation abilities.
• Proficient with EMRs and data entry; able to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist during procedures.
• Sterilize rooms and manage supplies per policy.
• Record medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Perform phlebotomy and injections where directed.
• Educate patients and relay information to providers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional conduct.
