Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience in a program with a clinical rotation preferred.
• Education program accredited by a regional or national accrediting body acceptable to USDOE or NCCA/NHA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data and prepares patient.
• Assists in examination, treatment and clinic procedures.
• Coordinates referrals through insurance and physician offices.
• Maintains patient charts and updates the electronic system.
• Schedules appointments and conducts reminder calls.
• Registers patients and verifies records for accuracy.
• Collects payments and issues receipts.
