Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP or equivalent medical assistant program.
• Certification: CMA (AAMA) or RMA/CCMA/NCMA approved by certifying body.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data, and prepares patient for exams.
• Assists in examination, treatment, and clinic procedures.
• Assists with lab procedures, screening tests, and QI projects.
• Answers calls, triages or directs inquiries to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules appointments and uses computerized scheduler.
• Gathers patient payments and issues receipts.
• Maintains and orders clinical supplies.
