Job summary

Women’s Care invites applications for a Medical Assistant to join our team in Florida. You will prepare patients, assist providers during exams and procedures, and ensure exam and lab areas are ready and sterile.

The role includes recording histories, vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and patient education under provider direction. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, MA certification path or progress, CPR/BLS, and familiarity with EMR systems (eCW preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• FL MA certification preferred or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience in OBGYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology essential.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections, if applicable.
• Proficient in entering data in electronic medical records (eCW preferred).
• Strong organizational skills with multitasking and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during procedures.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize exam and lab areas per policy.
• Record medical history, health maintenance and chief complaint.
• Measure and document vital signs for patients.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection as directed.
• Educate patients with information and instructions from providers.
• Maintain safe work environment; comply with HIPAA and regulations.
• Sterilize instruments per standards.
• Relay messages between patients and front office staff.
• Represent the office professionally to patients and staff.
• Participate in team activities and required meetings.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and core values.
