Women’s Care PC in Trinity, FL is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support during patient visits, prepare exam rooms, perform phlebotomy and injections where directed, and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical records system.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, MA certification eligibility in Florida within 120 days if not already certified, CPR/BLS with preference, and strong familiarity with medical terminology.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• Florida MA certification preferred or the ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or served in Armed Forces as Medical Technician with honorable discharge.
• Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days via Women’s Care training.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections, if applicable.
• Ability to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.
• Ability to interact and communicate professionally with all levels of staff, providers, and patients.
• Good organizational skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using a computer and entering data in EMR (preferably eCW).
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and dependability.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment, procedures, examinations, and testing.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area, and other patient care areas.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
• Measure, record, and document vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other specimen collection as directed.
• Educate patients with information and instructions from the provider.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and HIPAA guidelines.
• Sterilize medical instruments.
• Relay messages from patients and front office staff to providers.
• Represent the office in a professional manner and treat all customers with courtesy.
• Participate in team activities and professional development; attend required meetings.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and core values.
