Job summary

Women’s Care in Largo, FL is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide clinical care, prepare patients for exams, assist providers during treatments, and maintain sterile, organized rooms and labs. You will record vital signs, obtain specimens when required, and relay messages between patients and physicians while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; certified Medical Assistant is preferred or the ability to obtain certification within 120 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (FL Only) Certified Medical Assistant preferred OR the ability to obtain the certification within the first 120 days of employment.
• Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred OR the ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of employment via Women’s Care training.
• Experience working in OBGYN or Primary Care a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and EMR data entry (eCW).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices.
• Prepare patients during office visits and assist providers during treatment/procedures, examinations, and testing.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area per policies.
• Record patients' medical history, vital signs, and health data.
• Educate patients with information and instructions from providers.
• Relay messages between patients/front office and providers.
• Represent the office in a professional manner and support team activities.
• Attend required meetings and participate in professional development.
