Job summary

TexomaCare, a family-focused medical group affiliated with Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the care team. You will interview patients, measure vitals, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR under physician direction.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms and assisting at the front desk as needed. A High School Diploma and Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience are required, with BLS/CPR certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (clinic protocol).
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician direction.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, venipuncture as directed.
• Document in EMR according to IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination and assist at front desk as needed.
