Job summary

TexomaCare, affiliated with Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX, seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient interviews, vital signs, venipuncture, and procedures under physician direction. You will document in the Electronic Medical Record, prepare exam rooms, and assist at front desk as needed, joining a team of care providers across nine communities.

A High School diploma, BLS/CPR, and MA certification or equivalent experience are required; bilingual in English and Spanish

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of MA experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology required
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out per clinic protocol
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and office systems
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients and measuring vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height)
• Venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician
• Documenting in the Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Assists in covering the front desk as required
