Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a Unit Clerk for the OB/Gyn Clinic. The role supports daily clinic operations, handles scheduling, chart prep, EMR scanning, and receptionist duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, computer familiarity, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team. Standard full-time daytime hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Nursing Services orientation and in-service requirements.
• Familiarity with computers.
• Clear communication with patients and hospital staff.
• Works well within a team and uses office equipment efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating unit activities.
• Schedule patient appointments by phone and in person; chart prep and breakdown.
• Scan documents to EMR and input data into systems.
• Serve as unit receptionist and answer phones with courtesy and accuracy.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and orientation of new staff.
