Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a Unit Clerk for the OB/GYN clinic. The role assists in planning, organizing, and evaluating clinic activities, handling scheduling by phone and in person, and performing clerical duties to support patient flow and documentation.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with computers.
• Successful completion of Nursing Services orientation and in-service requirements.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and receptionist duties for the OB/GYN clinic.
• Schedules appointments by phone and in person.
• Checks-out patients and performs chart prep and scanning to EMR.
• Inputs data into the computer system for admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Answers telephone and intercom with professional service.
• Maintains neat and orderly work area.
• Orders supplies and equipment as needed.
• Assists with orientation and training of new staff.
