Job summary

Women's Care is seeking an Obstetrics (OB) Coordinator in Brandon, FL to coordinate obstetrics patients through pregnancy from intake to follow-up. You will meet new patients, complete medical histories, manage prenatal paperwork, and guide patients with education and referrals.

The role requires a Medical Assistant credential and 1–3 years of OB experience, with strong customer service and meticulous documentation. The position emphasizes HIPAA compliance and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program from an accredited school.
• 1-3 years of healthcare experience within an OB/OBGYN setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication of medical information.
• Attention to detail and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities

• Meets with every new obstetrics patient and conducts intake.
• Completes medical history and opens OB flow sheet.
• Ensures OB prenatal paperwork (NICA, consent, financial agreements) is completed.
• Reviews pregnancy guidebook and provides maternity education.
• Handles referrals to MFM, nutritionist, or infusion center as needed.
• Contacts non-compliant patients to facilitate follow up.
• Responds to patient questions within scope of knowledge.
• Adheres to HIPAA and organizational values.
