Job summary

Flanigan’s in Oakland Park, FL is hiring friendly servers to welcome guests, take orders, serve meals, and ensure a smooth dining experience. You will be expected to stand for the full shift, manage payments, and stay informed about current promotions and menu items.

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently.
• Able to deliver plates and clear tables up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc.
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly.
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner.
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
• Assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager.
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards), ensure transactions are correct using POS, and deliver correct change promptly.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.
