Job summary

Affordable Interior Systems Inc. seeks a Designer for its New York City showroom. The hybrid role blends remote work with on-site collaboration, meetings with clients, and support across the design process from concept to installation.

You will develop layouts, renderings, and specifications, while coordinating with sales, dealers, architects, designers, and end users to deliver high-quality workplace solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, industrial design, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience designing commercial workplace environments for a contract furniture manufacturer, dealership, or A&D firm.
• Proficiency in CET Designer and AutoCAD with ability to develop furniture plans, specs, installation drawings, and presentation materials.
• Experience creating workplace solutions through space planning, furniture specification, finish selection, renderings, and client presentations.
• Understanding of contract furniture systems and the design process from concept to installation.

Responsibilities

• Develop furniture layouts, renderings, presentations, and detailed specifications from concept to final installation.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute design expertise throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with dealers, architects, designers, and end users to deliver functional, beautiful workplace solutions.
