Job summary

HDR is seeking an Area Construction Field Services Lead in the New York City area. You will be the operational leader responsible for growth, management, and delivery of Construction Field Services within your region, driving client relationships and project performance.

The role requires extensive experience in civil infrastructure construction, leadership of field teams, and a strong commitment to HDR’s quality standards and employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years in construction management/CEI of civil infrastructure (highways, bridges, transit, aviation).
• Senior leadership experience in large infrastructure programs.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly desired.
• CCM certification desired and relevant.
• Knowledge of NYC market, relationships with agencies like MTA/NYSDOT/NYCDOT/Port Authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of Construction Field Services in the NYC region.
• Develop regional business plans aligned with HDR objectives.
• Drive growth by expanding client relationships and partnerships.
• Oversee project delivery: engineering/inspection, CM, program management, CPM scheduling.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing CFS professionals.
• Promote HDR quality standards and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to achieve organizational goals.
• Ensure safe, profitable project delivery and client satisfaction.
